Kaulbach portrait of Grand Duchess Tatiana: 1903.
From our resident Olga historian, translator of Olga’ diaries
The girls knew how much he helped their brother and put their mother’s mind at ease. They probably also knew that Rasputin’s murder was also an attack on their mother, who they adored.
Rare photo of Olga Nikolaevna, posted by Antonina on the Alexander Palace Time Machine forum.
This looks like it’s straight out of the 1920s!
Young Empress Marie Feodorovna
Sometimes engravings can be terrible but these are spot on. Which publication are they from? :D
I have no idea, I found them on the Alexander Palace Time Machine Forum in the Marie Feodorovna thread. Whoever they are did a great job!
I would like everyone to know, Olga never thought it was good Rasputin was killed. She was deeply upset by it, and actually said that maybe it was necessary for Russia, but it should not have been done so cruelly.
She also felt very betrayed that it was members of the family who had conspired and carried it out.
New ones from the VK!
New rare of Olga and Maria
I think it might be Anastasia? (I could be wrong, that just looks like an Anastasia pose to me)
